Re: What To Expect - Day of Festival

Thank you for volunteering for the 2024 New World Festival, Sunday, September 1st at the Chandler end of Main Street in Randolph, VT. 

For admission bracelets and volunteer badges/name tags, volunteers must sign-in at the Village Laundromat beside Chandler from 10:30AM - 4PM. 

Volunteers arriving after 4 PM sign-in at the admissions tent (ticket sales tent).

Please note:

  • Plan to arrive at your assigned spot 10 minutes early to get oriented, and to stay a few minutes after the end of your shift to orient the next volunteer to arrive.  

  • We expect you to be at your post throughout your shift. 

  • Please do not eat while on duty.  

  • We are a green event - please recycle appropriately and encourage others to do so.

  • There are rest room facilities available in the basement of Chandler. A handicapped accessible bathroom is located outside the Main Hall in Chandler.

  • First Aid is available at the Admission Tent.

  • Parking is permitted any place in town you are allowed to park. 

  • Official NWF parking is at the Bowling Alley on Prince Street or the Randolph Union High School. Please note that this year, shuttles will be running a limited schedule from 2 pm - 8 pm. If you park at the High School and do not wish to walk, you may want to move your car before 8pm. It is likely spots closer to Chandler will open up.

  • Please let me know as soon as possible if your plans change. I can be reached at 802-282-9410 all day today! Please call or text, I will not be checking email.

2024 New World Festival Volunteers - Save the Date!

New World Festival Volunteers Save the Date! The 2024 New World Festival is Sunday, September 1st, 2024 from 12 Noon to 11 PM. We have exciting new and returning acts including: Le Vent Du Nord, Mick McCauley, Traverse, and The Real McCoys. Tickets this year are $65 for adult admission to all events. Volunteers are the backbone of our festival. We welcome anyone interested in volunteering for the first time - all volunteers receive free admission to the show for working just one shift of 3 hours. Most volunteer shifts are on the day of the festival, but we also need people to post signs, prepare set-up, and tear down after the festival. If you volunteer you get free admission to all events during the festival. We have lots of openings for new and returning volunteers. 2024 Volunteer Introduction Letter

Dear Volunteer Friend of the New World Festival - Chandler’s 2024 New World Festival in Randolph will celebrate 31 years on Labor Day weekend, and volunteers who sign up early have the best chance to get the job you desire. The festival’s success and longevity over three decades is due in large part to its enthusiastic crew of new and returning volunteers. The festival will be held on Sunday, September 1st, 2024 from noon to 11 PM. The artistic directors have put together an exciting schedule of Celtic-Franco-American music on 6 stages, including a Family Tent with various children’s activities. The entire festival takes place at the Chandler end of Main Street in Randolph, VT, with the street closed to traffic. We need over a hundred (100+) volunteers to make this festival a success.
